Russ Feingold's censure resolution was the logical outcome of his remarkable exercise of March 1, when, after the passage of the Patriot Act, he read the text of the U.S. Constitution out loud on the floor of the Senate. I think that comes under the heading, "When all else fails, read the instructions."
It is amazing to see the rest of the Democrats floundering around in search of issues or a vision with which to beguile the American public and take advantage of the utter chaos and disarray into which the president and his party have plunged the nation. In the meantime, Bush and his gang are systematically shredding the Constitution, and when one lawmaker calls him on it, the rest cower in fear of our tin-horn Unitary Executive. Well, at least you can't accuse them of governing by reading the polls.
