Raw Story just put up a story on how Democratic senators and their staffs are really upset at what they consider to be a disasterous and self-defeating political stunt by Russ Feingold's in proposing his censure resolution on Monday--when in fact they're simply too dishonest to say that they're just too gutless to go on the attack with an issue that practically sells itself.
We've heard this tune before, way way way too many times. Once again, it's the same tired old inside the beltway, focus group, political strategist nonsense that has kept us in the minority, that holds that opposing Bush on anything having to do with the most glorious and untouchable Global War On Terror will only make Democrats look weak on national security, and that in any case we should first wait for the findings of investigations that anyone with half a brain (which these days might actually exclude some Democrats) knows will never be held, let alone conducted properly, by the GOP-controlled senate:
