Once again, in the wake of recent revelations in USA Today that the NSA has been illegally compiling a database of Americans' phone records, we're witnessing our healthy democracy in action, with Senator Arlen Specter, powerful chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, vigorously and resolutely leading the charge against an arrogant and law-breaking administration that he is clearly determined to hold acountable for its usurpation of power.
Assuming, of course, that he's not once again simply going through the motions for public consumption, without any intention or likelihood of his actually holding the administration meaningfully accountable for anything.
